Paper, writing, school and office supplies

Office and school articles accompany children and adults every day. Although they seem inconspicuous, their misuse or contact with too young people may pose serious dangers.

Official list of warnings and guidelines:

Risk of choking (products with small components): Small elements, such as stickers, clips, small cuffs or miniature office blocks, cannot get into the hands of small children. Swallowing such an object threatens to block the airways immediately.

Care when using sharp tools: When using scissors, segment knives for paper or other sheet cutting and decoration, you should keep the maximum concentration. These tools should only be used by children under the supervision of adults.

Material safety and non-toxicity: Only articles made of safe, non-toxic materials and dyes should be selected. This is particularly relevant for products intended for pupils who tend to take mouth supplies.

Fire risk: This applies in particular to advanced office items with electronic components (e.g. electric pencil sharpeners, illuminated notebooks). These devices should be protected from short circuit and overheating.

Storage under appropriate conditions: Moisture and extreme temperatures destroy paper structure, weaken adhesives and can lead to the development of harmful fungi and moulds on paper articles.

Organic disposal and recycling: Used workbooks, blocks or pens should be sorted according to local regulations. The burning of plastics and impregnated paper under domestic conditions is strictly prohibited.

Safe use of written supplies: Pens, circuses and pencils have sharp tips. They should be transported in pencil sharpeners and kept away from the reach of the youngest children to avoid accidental eye or skin injury.

Caution when using magnets: If office items (e.g. boards, planers) contain magnets, the degree of their binding to the product should be checked regularly. Loose, strong neodymium magnets when swallowed by a child can lead to intestinal perforation.

Allergic reactions: Some carcasses, adhesives or scented erasers can cause contact allergies. If any dermatological symptoms are observed, the product should be discontinued immediately.

Hazards from metal components: Staples, metal spirals in notebooks and archiving clips may have sharp edges. They should be operated with caution to avoid painful hand lacerations.
