W latach 19821989 członek Regionalnej Komisji Wykonawczej, do końca 1988 r. szef kolportażu na północno-wschodnią część Regionu, organizator podziemnej poligrafii, m.in. druku pism Regionalny Informator Solidarności, Głos Śląsko-Dąbrowski, a także książek. W lutym 1989 r. uczestnik II Zgromadzenia Działaczy Solidarności Regionu Śląsko-Dąbrowskiego w Ustroniu-Polanie.
W 2007 r. odznaczony Krzyżem Komandorskim z Gwiazdą Odrodzenia Polski, a w 2016 r. Krzyżem Wolności i Solidarności.
