"Itchy, tasty" prowadzi czytelnika przez cykl rozwoju serii od 1996 do 2006 roku, przeplatając rys historyczny komentarzami samych twórców - między innymi Tokuro Fujiwary, Yoshikiego Okamoto, Shinjiego Mikamiego i Hidekiego Kamiyi - oferując unikalny wgląd w proces, w wyniku którego marka stała się jednym z najmocniejszych filarów popkultury.
Seria gier Resident Evil przez 25 lat istnienia sprzedała się w liczbie 120 milionów egzemplarzy na całym świecie, co czyni ją najlepiej sprzedającym się cyklem grywalnych horrorów.
